Intro to Copperplate Calligraphy + Make a Return Address Stamp

Exact class times still to be determined.... stay tuned!

Students will be given a brief history of Copperplate Script, an overview of tools and materials and instructions on how to use them. After learning some basic strokes using a traditional steel nib and oblique pen holder, students will delve into learning uppercase Copperplate letters. The class will end with guidance on completing a single letter monogram to be used on a personalized return address stamp. Students' completed letters will be sent home with the instructor, digitally combined with their address and sent off to an Omaha-based stamp maker. Stamps will be shipped out within 2 weeks of class completion.

Students will leave class with a detailed exemplar (upper AND lower case) and guide sheets for home study as well as all supplies provided in class. No calligraphy experience (or good handwriting!) needed, advanced or intermediate students will benefit from guidance by an experienced instructor.
