All of us are meant to create
… which is why I love leading weekend workshops, one-hour Zoom classes, week-long intensives, or half-day instruction. (I’ve got options!) I’m also happy to give a talk and demo for your organization. What is at the heart of my teaching is a true enjoyment of leading others into artistic expression and inspiring creative freedom. I truly think we’re all meant to create. I find that in my workshops, students inspire each other, and I learn from my students, too.

Holiday Brush Calligraphy
Postscript
1434 Silver St., Ashland, NE 68003
402-944-26259
Sat., November 14, 9a-12p (3 hours)
Brush calligraphy is a contemporary, informal, and expressive lettering style that is easy to personalize and useful for so many kinds of projects--in this case, holiday cards!
We will start the class with a brief look at historical letterforms to see how they relate to our contemporary versions. We'll then use both brushes and brush markers to learn the basic shapes of both lower- and uppercase brush calligraphy letters.
To finish up the class, we will use our new skills to practice addressing holiday cards, so bring a few addresses along! Supplies are included in the cost of tuition, and beginners are welcome.
“Cheryl is truly one of the best calligraphy teachers I’ve ever had. She’s incredibly talented, but also so thoughtful and prepared. She breaks everything down in a way that actually makes sense, no matter your level, and brings so much knowledge and passion to every class."
